{"id":817,"date":"2021-03-29T18:38:52","date_gmt":"2021-03-29T10:38:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jeffooi.com\/?p=817"},"modified":"2021-04-02T19:33:00","modified_gmt":"2021-04-02T11:33:00","slug":"125-prosecution-witnesses-now-including-several-state-excos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jeffooi.com\/?p=817","title":{"rendered":"125 prosecution witnesses now, including several Penang State Excos"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Prosecution in the Penang Undersea Tunnel Trial implicating DAP supremo Lim Guan Eng has hauled in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freemalaysiatoday.com\/category\/nation\/2021\/03\/29\/penang-exco-members-may-give-evidence-in-guan-engs-graft-trial-says-dpp\/\">125 people, including several state executive councillor<\/a>s, to testify as witnesses when the case commences June 8, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Deputy public prosecutor Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin, who is leading the prosecution team, told reporters after case management at KL Sessions Court today, he did not specify the numbers and who they were.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have 125 people on the witness list but all need not be called,\u201d he was quoted as saying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trial dates totalling 31 days had been fixed as follows: June 8-11, July 12-16, July 28 and 29, August 16 and 20, September 6-10, September 20-24 and December 13-17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially, Deputy Public Prosecutor Wan Shaharuddin told the court that the prosecution expects to call 80 to 90 witnesses to testify in the trial.
